ABOUT the SPEAK LIST
The SPEAK list is based in The SPEAK list acknowledges that each human travels on his or her own spiritual pathway, and thus respects the belief systems of all people. The SPEAK list embraces associations with all spiritual groups and religious denominations who wish to sign the official declaration. The SPEAK list promotes animals as sentient beings, respecting the fact that they exist for their own reasons, and rejecting the idea of animals as human property. It is expected that each group who joins the SPEAK list is working in some way to make positive changes in the world which will somehow benefit the Earth's creatures. It is hoped that the SPEAK list will encourage spiritual harmony on Earth by bringing together groups of spiritually motivated people who share a common concern for the well-being of all creatures. It is intended that the SPEAK list will exist on the Internet as a public document, to educate others that treating animals with kindness and compassion is an important step towards achieving peace on Earth. It is hereby declared that the official SPEAK list will be freely available to all groups who wish to reproduce it, display it, share it or promote it, for the purpose of spreading its message and building a network of compassion.
